Starting on the 26th of this month, AirAsia will resume direct flights from Malaysia to Visakhapatnam, making it the only airline in Malaysia to fly directly to the Indian city.
To mark the resumption of the new route, flights to Visakhapatnam were on sale at a discounted price of RM199+ all-in-one-way until 14th February. The airline also hosted a giveaway competition on Instagram for tickets to the coastal city.
The airline also recently announced three other new routes to India that will begin operating this year: Thiruvananthapuram in February, Jaipur in April and Ahmedabad in May.
AirAsia will operate flights thrice a week to Visakhapatnam, sometimes known as ‘Vizag’. The city has plenty to offer, including lush landscapes, historical landmarks, traditional festivals, mouth-watering traditional Andhra cuisine, and many serene beaches along the coastline.
